Is it safe to ship my purchase to another country?

Yes. All of our shipping options are safe and secure and include insurance for your peace of mind. This is provided that your country allows the shipment of jewellery or diamonds.

Can I have my purchase shipped to my door?

Yes. Please note we only ship to business addresses and not residential addresses (with the exception of the USA).

Can someone else sign on my behalf for delivery of my purchase that has been shipped to me?

To protect your purchase, only the person whose name is reflected on the invoice will need to sign for the release of the purchase. Special arrangements may be made where we receive a copy of the ID and a letter from the purchaser authorising the acceptance.

Is VAT included in shipping?

VAT is excluded from international shipping. Local shipping includes VAT. (VAT is referred to as South Africa Value Added Tax).

How long will it take for me to receive my Shimansky purchase once it has been shipped?

This depends on your location. If you live in a main city center in South Africa, shipping is typically overnight. For outlying areas in South Africa, shipping may take 2 – 3 days to arrive. For international shipments, it generally takes approximately 8 – 10 days for you to receive your purchase (depending on customs clearance in the country the purchase is being cleared into). Please note: this excludes manufacturing lead times of the item.

Are there any additional costs for international shipping?

You will need to pay customs and import duties for international shipping. Only once this fee has been paid will your parcel be released to you. Each country’s import duties are different, so please contact your customs office directly for more information.

I purchased a diamond engagement ring but it is not to my fiancé’s tastes. Can we exchange it for a different engagement ring of the same value?

You may return a purchase to us in its original condition, within 30 days from the date of purchase for a full refund or exchange on the original purchase price. The return is valid only on stock items and not bespoke items nor items with special finger sizing or where the item cannot be worn or used.
