Looking for a unique way to spend your sunday afternoon in Cape Town? Head to the Winelands to experience Some Sundays, a fresh, new outdoor music concert series running throughout summer.
This mini music festival brings together some of the best local bands in a chilled wine farm or nature setting.
The event typically starts at 12pm where wine is served in the De Grendel wine tent. There’s also fresh craft beer from Newlands Spring, food trucks with delicious artisanal options including authentic wood fired pizza, Mexican cuisine and lots more to get the mood going.
Live music performances kick off around 2pm, with the headlining act on stage at 5pm. The show wraps up just before dark at 7pm.
Bok van Blerk, Demi Lee Moore, and Koos Kombuis live
The show is coveraing a range of Afrikaans music genres witth live performances from Bok van Blerk, Demi Lee Moore, and the iconic Koos Kombuis. This small music gathering runs for 1 day only at De Grendel Wine Estate on the Durbanville Wine Route. Koom Kombuis brings the indie Afrikaans acousitcs that made him a mainstay for decades while Demi Lee Moore delivers a firm take on modern Afrikaans pop. The show wraps up Bok van Blerk whose music reflects Afrikaner culture and heritage in modern times
